Instead of performing in front of a live audience, the tutors at Hume Conservatorium decided to put together a student performance for the region's first online Youth Orchestra.
Tutors, Isabella Brown and Liam Meany, created the project to make sure students could continue playing together during these unusual times.
The youth orchestra, which started in 2019, is a regional ensemble for young musicians looking to gain experience in group performances.

The change to the online platform has helped Hume Conservatorium incorporate more students across the region.
"We changed the name from Goulburn Regional Conservatorium to Hume Conservatorium in 2019 as we would like to be more representative of our region," Paul Scott-Williams, Hume Conservatorium's chief executive officer and artistic director said.
"This online orchestra will enable students from across the region to be a part of it. If someone wants to follow the career path of being an orchestra player, this experience will help them immensely."
The young musicians were sent a piece of music to practice and record in their homes by the Hume Conservatorium.
"The individual recordings of these students were put together online to play at the same time and create a beautiful orchestra," Danae Vitnell, Hume Conservatorium general manager said.
The online orchestra aims to give young musicians a chance to improve and may also offer them an opportunity to perform in the Regional Youth Orchestra in NSW, which is for youths between the age of 12-25.
In its 35th year, the Hume Conservatorium has won several awards over the years.
It received the award for Excellence in Business from the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce in 2019.
In 2014, it won the APRA AMC Art Music Award for Excellence in Regional Australia and in 2017, was a finalist in the APRA AMC Art Music Award for Excellence in Music Education.
