Club president, Richard Toparis, said the track is currently "pretty much completed"; all that now lies between it and an official launch is red tape.
"The track's completed, the irrigation system's all finished. All the toilets are in place, and they operate. All the internal spectator fencing is done," Toparis said.
"We've got to tidy up and do some spectator stuff, benching and seating. We're on track to be rec riding in the next month or six weeks.
"We've got to get council to come and inspect it, but otherwise we're very close."
To be so near to the end of a project which has worked its way through the rigmarole of development applications and legal proceedings over the last 15 years has left Toparis feeling ecstatic.
"It's so good, the club's very excited," he said.
"We're obviously treading carefully because we've got to make sure we do everything right. We want to make sure we tick all the boxes for council and satisfy all prearranged conditions.
"We've been waiting for this for a long time."
The club has held working bees in recent weeks, where members came in and worked on the track, which has sped the club towards the finish line.
While Toparis cannot yet give an exact date for the opening of the track, he hopes it will coincide with some warmer weather.
"We'd like to have an official opening at some point," he said.
"I think by the time the chill in the air disappears and the days are a bit longer, ti should work perfectly."
The club received a huge boost in February, with the announcement of nearly $500,000 in funding from the state government for the completion of the track.
Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman, visited the club in June to officially present the grant cheque, and praised the club for their hard work.
"The Goulburn Motor Cycle Club have been working very hard on the construction of a new moto park, and they've been doing so for the past couple of years," Mrs Tuckerman said.
"This grant will allow the club to open their facility to the public for recreational riding, as well as extending opportunities to the wider racing community to bring training, coaching, and competitions to Goulburn."
Toparis thanked Mrs Tuckerman for her support, along with the Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
He also made a point of thanking the GMCC committee and several people whose work has been crucial in the completion of the project.
"Special mention to committee members,Andrew Rowlands and Sam White," Toparis said.
"Also to the club's major sponsors, Divall Earthmoving, we couldn't have done it without their assistance. Andy Divall and his crew, they've been fantastic."
