Over 100mm of rainfall was recorded in Goulburn up to midnight last night.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council has asked drivers to be cautious of potholes in town and road damage on flooded rural roads.

The council teams will be out today "assessing roads, putting signage in place and trying to fix issues where possible".
At 11am, Painters Lane and Range Road are were opened. There is still some water over road, hence it is advised to proceed with caution. Bullamalita Road is also open.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council had announced that several roads were still closed at 7:30am. These roads were:
- Saltpetre Creek on Currawang Road is half a metre over the road. Please do not try to cross this- Wollogorang Creek Federal Highway flooded - have been informed one lane is closed to traffic going southbound, under traffic control
- The Eastgrove underpass (Blackshaw Road) is closed- Range Road closed
- Bullamalita Road - Water is 200mm above the road - passable in 4WD. Please proceed with caution
- Lumley Road is closed
- Brisbane Grove Road closed
- Brayton Road closed
- Mt Baw Baw Road closed
- Gurrundah Road closed - flooded in multiple spots
- Chinamans Lane is closed
- Highlands Way Tallong is closed
- Towrang Road closed, bridge is impassable
- Painters Lane impassable (Braidwood Road end)
- Carrick Road also flooded
- Pomeroy Road closed
- Oallen Ford closed
- Covan Creek Road: Significant culvert damage, please do not drive through water
Meanwhile, Pejar and Sooley dams are is 32cm and 46cm above full storage respectively.
Both are being monitored but there is no current cause for concern, the council has said.
All sporting fields are closed and will be assessed throughout the day.
