You've lined up a date, bought the shoes, made a hair appointment and booked the vintage car or the stretch Hummer (your choice).
Then comes the night when you say farewell to your school days and step out into your adult life, wearing killer high heels, of course.
But this year, the graduating class of 2020 will watch their school days end with a wimper rather than a bang, with school formals, valedictory dinners and graduation ceremonies being banned by the NSW Government as of last Monday due to coronavirus.

It's just one more hard lesson for these students to learn, and the lesson is this: clubs may have 300 people in them, football games are still being held with big crowds, and corporate events continue with 150 people, but Year 12s can't dress up for the last event of their school life.
