"From Saturday, August 15, the treatment process in the Yass Water Treatment Plant was brought back under control following the heavy flooding on the weekend of August 8-9," the council announced today.

"Council has continued to monitor reticulation, received help from DPIE Water and has been working closely with NSW Health for verification that the treatment process was under control and any effects were resolved.
"The boil water alert has now been removed following approval from NSW Health, and the Yass water supply is now safe to consume."
