It was a difficult decision to make, but Mr Croker said it was the right time to move on.
"It all came down to my family and life balance for me," Mr Croker said.
"PCYC"s fantastic as they do a lot of stuff or kids, but it got to the point where I was spending more hours at work than I was at home.
"My kids are at that age where we had to do something with them.
"It came to the point where I had to make that decision.
"I have learnt a lot in that time, I hope I made a difference in that time."
Mr Croker felt the role was very rewarding and said the biggest highlight of his time in charge was the programs PCYC ran.
"I think it would have to be the programs that are run like Fit for Life and working with the local services," he said.

"Working with the guys from Mission Australia, Headspace, Youth Council and Aboriginal services have all made PCYC what it is at the moment.
"We are now in the position where we have funding for youth out at the back.
"We're still seeking some more funding to finish it, but the plans have been set in place and the wheels are in motion to try and get that going."
In the meantime, Goulburn PCYC is managed by Southern Highlands PCYC manager Krischan Keller, but Mr Croker had advice for the next Goulburn manager.
"I encourage them to really keep involved with the services in town, especially if you're not familiar with those," Mr Croker said.
"They have a lot of knowledge, a lot of support and a lot of contacts that will tie in together with the mission of PCYC.
"Keep that strong communication and ties together and keep pushing forward."
Mark Croker is pursuing a role within another business.
