The forum will talk about climate snapshot for South East NSW and the predicted effects of climate change on agriculture. Local farmers will share insights on the ways in which they are adapting to climate change now.
Alex James, coordinator, Small Farms Network Capital Region said that participants will be divided into smaller groups.
"The topics the break out groups could consider include water management and planning, animal production, bushfire preparedness, horticulture, food security and renewable technologies," she said.
"At the end of the forum, participants will be invited to vote for your preferred topics for future workshops. These will focus on practical adaptation strategies tailored to the needs of small farmers."
The forum presenters are Melinda Hilary, Harry Watson and Helena Warren.
Melinda Hillery is a Senior Project Officer with the Climate Resilience and Net Zero Emissions Branch of the NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment.
Harry Watson and his family manage Millpost Farm just outside Bungendore. Harry is part of a dynamic family business with a commercial superfine merino enterprise, diverse agroforestry systems, productive gardens and home-grown animals for eggs, meat and milk.
Helena Warren and her husband Rod manage Cadfor Equestrian and Murry Greys and have been implementing their plan for climate readiness for 15 years.
