Carisa Wells, CEO and director of Regional Development Australia Southern Inland (RDASI), said that the website BusSI (Business Southern Inland) was "born from the disasters like bushfires that took place at the start of 2020".
"We were getting a lot of information that was helpful for local businesses. A grant from Coordinare came through at the time to assist small businesses and we took the opportunity to come up with this website," she said.
The website was launched by Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman at the monthly networking event Goulburn Connect on October 6.
"I hope everyone can use it and start sharing information. Small Business Month is the perfect time to start having discussions about what we can do better and how we can make it easier," she said.
The BusSI website helps businesses network and connect with other businesses in the region through face-to-face or online networking.
It also gives information regarding the support that is available, innovation networks, co-working spaces to startups, and those expanding their current businesses.
Details regarding various workshops and webinars in the southern region are also shared on the website. Information related to ongoing and current grants is also shared.
The access to the not-for-profit page is free and has all the necessary information required for regional businesses.
