A car was towed for further examination following reports of a vehicle fire near Marulan on the weekend, NSW Police said.

Emergency services were called to Brayton Road, Brayton before 11am on Sunday, October 4.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the vehicle appeared to sustain fire damage and investigations would continue.

A NSW Rural Fire Service spokesman said the car was believed to be abandoned after a crash involving a horse float.
On Sunday, multiple emergency services spokespeople could not confirm when the crash occurred.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed no one required medical attention at the scene on Sunday morning.
