The Daniel family had a long association with The Goulburn Post, stretching back to its beginning in 1870. Originally owned by Thomas Daniel and George Gray, the latter dissolved the partnership when he became associated with a Yass paper.

Thomas became the sole owner and was succeeded by his sons Walter, Thomas and Jack, who traded under the name Daniel Brothers.
1927 - GEPP amalgamates with Goulburn Herald. A new proprietory company, Daniel Bros and Co is formed.
1962 - Daniel Bros sells to Rupert Henderson, former GM of John Fairfax and Sons.
1986 - John Armati's Macquarie Publications buys Goulburn Post, Highland Post and Town and Country Magazine.
1995 - Rural Press Limited under John B Fairfax buys 65 titles from Macquarie Publications, including Goulburn Post.
2007 - Rural Press and Fairfax Media merge to become known as Australian Community Media (ACM).
December 2018 - Fairfax Media and Nine Entertainment merge.
July 1, 2019 - Nine Entertainment sells ACM publishing and printing operations to Alex Waislitz and Catalano. The company is still known as ACM.
