The funding is restricted to the 700 state-funded community preschools and 38 mobile services, which would help the families of more than 44,000 children attending community preschool.
On November 8, the Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Treasurer Dominic Perrottet and Minister for Education and Early Childhood Learning Sarah Mitchell, announced the fee-free funding. The program would provide up to 15 hours of free care per child each week for children aged between three- and five-years-old.
Member for Goulburn, Wendy Tuckerman, said the fee-free program had supported families since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the Goulburn electorate, 14 services are eligible for the program, however, they have to opt in to receive the funding.

"The free-preschool program has saved countless services and jobs in the region while keeping our children learning during their most important years," Mrs Tuckerman said.
She said, "families will have certainty moving into 2021, knowing that regardless of their financial situation their child will be able to continue with their preschool education."
