The incident was reported to police, and officers from the Hume Police District have commenced inquiries.
A spokesperson said police were appealing for information about a white tray back utility that was seen in the area around the time of the incident.
The ute was described as possibly being a 2015/16 Ford Ranger supercab. They said the vehicle had a distinctive rear metal tray which appeared to be fully enclosed on all sides, open at the top and quite high.
