This week's Goulburn Cycle Club racing was a Graded Handicap on Range Road. The 20km course extended from Chinamans Lane to the turnaround point just past Lambs Lane.

A total of 16 riders signed on in ideal conditions for racing. Riders of similar abilities rode together with the slower riders setting off first and the fastest riders needing to make up 13 minutes on the front runners.
D Grade riders Peter Jackson and Peter Lucas are attracting the attention of the club handicapper with another pair of solid performances.
Both riders started off limit and managed to hold off all the chasers. Peter Jackson put in a particularly strong performance opening up a 20 second lead over Peter Lucas in the final sprint to the finish line for the win.
C Grade riders Shannon Apps and Michael Hall rode strongly but could not bridge the gap to the leaders. Shannon Apps took out third place just ahead of Michael Hall.
Fastest time was awarded to A Grade rider Cameron Roberts who completed the 20km course in just over 30 minutes at an average speed of 40kms/hr.
Next Wednesday, December 2, 2020 racing is on Middle Arm Road for the Jarrod Coverney Memorial Handicap. This was a very popular event last year and a race again not to be missed. Sign on is opposite the cemetery from 6pm with racing at 6.30pm. New riders are welcome.
In memory of Jarrod riders are encouraged to wear a Goulburn Club kit or the JLC kit.
Track racing is at Seiffert Oval on Thursday evening, November 26, 2020. Sign on from 6pm and racing at 6.30pm.
