Ken Haynes of 'Clarevale' at Wheeo purchased the top-priced pen of 45 first-cross ewes from Matt and Margaret Croker of Binda with agent Nutrien Livestock.

All up, the total yarding was 8952 head, 1 to 1.5-year-old ewes averaged $401, while the ewe lambs averaged $327.
Overall, the vendors were congratulated for their "exceptional presentation of the yarding" by the SELX saleyards manager Rick Maslin.
He said buyers competed in a strong market, with locals competing with buyers from Cooma, Bombala, Braidwood, Bathurst, Orange, Young, Wagga and Gundagai.
The champion pen of first-cross ewes was presented by Tolldale Management, Gunning and sold for $440 per head with agent Elders. While, the champion pen of ewe lambs was 'Donach Farms', Collinrubie.
The sale was conducted by Jim Hindmarsh, Holman Tolmie, Michael Hall, MD and JJ Anderson, Butt Livestock, Elders, Duncombe and Co, Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon, Delta Livestock, Agstock, Nutrien Livestock, and Ray White.
