NAPCAN's Love Bites and Love Bites Junior programs have been running in schools since 2005.
Love Bites ran at Goulburn High earlier this term.
Goulburn High's Student Support Officer Erin Acton said they were the first school in the region to run the program.
The interactive sessions focused on the development of respectful relationships for young people aged 11 to 17.
Years 7, 8 and 10 each had a full day of the program.
The program aimed to provide a safe environment in which young people could discuss and learn about their rights and responsibilities in relationships and look at ways to access support when needed.
During the sessions, students were introduced to several services in the community and encouraged to support their friends by utilising safe, healthy and proactive strategies.
Ms Acton said the students engaged well with the program.
"For the younger students in Years 7 and 8 we've noticed there's a lot of issues around peer relationships and determining what's a healthy and non healthy relationship. So I think it was quite eye-opening for the younger students to gauge whether or not they've been a good friend or what constitutes a good friend," she said.
"For the Year 10 students it was quite confronting about intimate relationships as there are many forms of abuse not just physical. There were a lot of emotions as students began to identify some of the stories that were told throughout the day."
The facilitators for the Love Bites program came from different community organisations and services including Anglicare, PCYC Goulburn, Police and Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
"They were very excited to engage with the community and we had over 300 students throughout the three days which was good," Ms Acton said.
She said the feedback from staff was great and they would look at running the program again at the school next year.
