"My children were all grown up and had moved out and I suddenly had too much time on my hands. I wanted to see if there was a women group similar to Man Walk which will give me a chance to meet and talk with others," she said.

The group began with a small group of men almost a year ago and has grown to an online membership of more than 150 men.
The Man Walk started when Kiama physiotherapist Mark Burns began walking each weekday morning around Kiama Harbour. Friends and strangers joined him and The Man Walk Kiama was born.
"I thought if there is a walking group similar to Man Walk in town, it will be nice to meet other people and talk to. As it turns out, there are many other women who want similar things too and so I decided to start our own walking group for women," she said.
"The focus is on mental health and it gives us a chance to get together, meet new people, network, talk and exercise."
The group usually meets on Marsden Weir on Tuesday at 7pm. However, on December 8, they have an early start and will meet at 6:45pm. There will be a Zumba warm-up followed by a four kilometers walk and a Zumba cool out session.
