A thunderstorm that hit the Goulburn region on Monday evening brought the total annual rainfall so far up to 11mm with 7.8mm received overnight.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) cooler temperatures and rainfall can be expected for the rest of the week and over the weekend in Goulburn.

The BoM forecast predicts a 60 per cent chance of two to four millimetres of rain on Wednesday, January 6. Temperatures are expected to remain mild with a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 22 degrees celsius. Light winds becoming southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h are predicted in the morning.
Temperature is expected to remain low on Thursday, January 7. A maximum temperature of 20 and a minimum of 11 degrees celsius is expected with a 40 per cent chance of rain. Winds are predicted in a southeasterly direction from 20 to 30 km/h becoming light during the evening.
A cloudy Friday, January 8 will see a maximum temperature of 21 and a minimum of 10 with a 20 per cent chance of rain. Light winds are expected throughout the day.
Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy with a 10 per cent chance of rain. Sunday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a five per cent chance of rain.
