Convoy For Kids Goulburn committee member Emily Townsend definitely rose in a chaotic 2020.
She was rewarded with the organisation's member of the year award.
The committee conducted a secret vote when she was momentarily away from a meeting and all were happy for her to be crowned.
Convoy For Kids Goulburn president Colin Imms said the recognition was very much deserved.
"Emily participates in all of our meetings and contributes to discussions," Mr Imms said.
"Despite issues all year with COVID-19, which caused the vast majority of events to be cancelled, we were still able to run a modified convoy event in November, thanks predominantly to her efforts.
"We decided to do a drive around the backstreets of Goulburn and then to Gunning.
"She prepared all the documentation including a COVID safety plan.
"She briefed all the contestants about them having to stay within their cars.
"She also consistently updated our website and came up with a new logo."
She has been on the committee for three years now and is looking forward to her fourth in which big things are planned.
