The organisers of Tallong Apple Day 2021 have decided to postpone the event due to be held this year.

"The decision has been made to postpone the Apple day festival on Sunday, May 2. The committee will meet in June to decide if the festival can be held in spring," a statement issued by the organisers reads.
"This has again been a difficult decision as we are aware that many people depend on the festival for fundraising and our market stall holders and entertainment have had a very difficult couple of years.

In 2020, the annual event was cancelled for the first time in over a decade due to the pandemic.
The event is extremely popular with people travelling from other areas to Tallong for the event. Over 10,000 people attended the event in 2018 with visitors from different areas including Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Funds that area raised from the event goes back into the community.
Meanwhile, the family fun day has entertainment planned for both kids and adults including live music, rides, competitions, food stalls and demonstrations to entertain visitors.
Other activities include wood chopping, whip cracking, reptile display, reenactment of medieval battles, sheep shearing, car and bike display, local art display and sales and pony rides.
The event is usually held in the first week of May.
