A message from the Queen lent a royal touch to a gala night of celebrations for one couple.
The cause for royal attention was the 60th wedding anniversary of Barry and Denielle Murphy.
Hosted by Laggan Bush Poets, Musicians and Friends Group, about 50 guests attended the event at Crookwell Services' Club on February 3.
Congratulatory messages were read out from the Governor General, prime sinister, state MP, the mayor and local Clubs and organisations.
Barry, Denielle and their family were surprised and delighted, as many talented musicians and poets, performed various items composed especially for this momentous occasion.
There was much laughter throughout the evening, along with emotional moments, as stories and memories were shared from local and out-of-town, long-time friends.
Congratulations to Barry and Denielle for achieving their 60th anniversary, providing a diamond opportunity for all to share this grand occasion with them and their lovely family.
