Goulburn High School P&C president Renee Woodberry has been named the Southern and Central Tablelands P&C Volunteer of the Year for 2020.
Unbeknownst to Renee, the committee nominated her in the NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year awards.
She recently found out she had won the Southern and Central Tablelands P&C Volunteer of the Year for 2020.
"I was completely shocked," she said.

"Even though I'm the name behind the award, it's not only my award. It's definitely the award of all the P&C."
Renee has been involved with the P&C for 10 years and 2020 was her seventh year as president.
During that time, she said the P&C had been involved in the upgrade of the school hall, upgrade of the cricket nets and new school lockers.
But it was some of the smaller achievements that Renee said she was just as proud of.
"Some faculties just need that little helping hand to get what they need and our input helps those faculties which in turn is helping the whole school."
The P&C now runs the canteen, with the funds going directly back to the school and its students.
"It's fantastic. The kids are contributing to their education as well."
And while Renee said it could be difficult to find people to volunteer, she encouraged parents to come along to a meeting and provide feedback and ideas.
"People think that if they come to a meeting they have to do something, have to take on a role. But they don't have to take on a role at all. It's more input and ideas from parents and feedback from parents and from their kids as well.
"What I would really like to achieve [in 2021] is to have a few more members for our P&C. Everyone here at this school does really good work."
Goulburn High principal Yogesh Mani congratulated Renee on her award and being one of the NSW finalists.
"We're so lucky to have her as the P&C president. She's really someone who's got the school and the students at heart. She works hard to identify and fund projects for the kids or to help the students to provide financial support for events such as the Year 12 formal and graduation," he said.
"She's a strong advocate for making sure the school provides the best educational opportunities for the students. We're very fortunate to have Renee be part of our school."
The P&C Federation's 2021 awards dinner for NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2020 will be on Friday, February 26 in Sydney.
Mr Mani wished her luck at the upcoming event.
"I want to wish her the best because she definitely deserves to be the winner of the NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2020."
