The STA AiR program is open to professional artists from all disciplines, individually or in groups. The program embraces visual artists, performers, writers, musicians, and multi-disciplinary practises and supports new work, research and collaborations inspired by the host venue and location.
Each of the five two-week residency opportunities include an artist fee of $4000 ($2000 per week) travel support of up to $1400, accommodation support of up to $2000, materials budget for use at any public program and over the residency of $1000.
Proposals that include workshops, public events and/or performance will also attract a further $550.
Our five partner venues are Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Shaw Wines in Yass valley, Southern Cross Cinema in Young, Retford Park in Bowral and the NSW Rail Museum at Thirlmere. Each will host the successful artist/s for two weeks to experience their unique collections, spaces, communities and environments.
The STA AiR program is open to all Artists living within Australia. Those living within the STA region* are particularly encouraged to apply.
Each residence will run between Monday, July 12 to Sunday, July 25.
