As you make your way through the driveway lined with arching red oaks, you get a glimpse of the Georgian facade of the country estate, modelled after the Old Government House at the time.
The homestead is nestled on 154 acres of grazing land and was once a part of the Chisholm family's pastoral empire.
'Raeburn' was built by the pioneering Chisolm family in Breadalbane who commenced grazing there in 1830.

Bruce Eason, who is the lifestyle property specialist at Ken Jacobs and is overlooking the sale of 'Raeburn' said that the homestead was in a run down condition when current owner Carrie Anderson bought the property in 2006.
"Over 120 years, different owners made several additions and changes to the property. Carrie Anderson worked with heritage architect Howard Tanner and tirelessly worked to resurrect it back to its former glory," he said.
Carrie Anderson was determined to restore 'Raeburn' and spent a year tracking down photos of the original house and reading the diaries of Charles Chisholm for clues.
The expansive estate has breathtaking views of the Breadalbane Plains and has expansive lawns, beautiful gardens, original marble and cedar fireplaces, dams, bores and a pool.
It has eight bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, parking for six cars, stable complex, central gas heating and heated floors and Welsh slate roof.
'Raeburn' has two wings with four bedrooms situated above the living zone and the additional four are in the adjoining wing which was once the 'Red House'.
The 'gentleman's smoking room', 13-foot decorative ceilings, cedar staircase, stone cellar and European wallpapers are some of the features that will make you travel back in time to the era.
It is an ideal location to escape from the city as it is located less than an hour away from Canberra and around two hours from Sydney.
Mr Eason has received enquiries from people in Canberra, Sydney, Southern Highlands and even those that are currently overseas.
