Steven Lacey, CEO of Lederer Group which is undertaking the work, said they are hoping to complete the work by Christmas.
"We are thankful to our customers who have supported us. The upgrade work is taking place in three stages," he said.
"The aim behind the expansion is to provide a one-stop location for shoppers at Woolworths and will give them more choice."
Mr Lacey earlier said that there was a big demand for additional retail in the area so they have added services that were not present earlier.
He further said that the closure of Millers store by end of this month is in coordination with the ongoing redevelopment work and will reopen in December.
Lederer Group has plans to expand the existing facility to a total area of 5843 square meters, which will include the existing area and the addition of new space.
An additional arcade area of 468 square meters will also be a part of the expansion plan. A total of 17 new and existing stores will be at the marketplace.
The Lederer Group had lodged a Development Application (DA) with Goulburn Mulwaree Council in 2017 for a significant expansion and modernisation of the shopping centre.
The plans included relocation of existing pharmacy to bigger premises, new amenities, speciality shops, outdoor dining areas, outdoor children's play area and expanded car park to name a few.
