The resulting venue will be the site of exhibitions, displays and a program of events and activities. The interior spaces will also be available for community groups to meet and use.
Sydney Trains and Southern Tablelands Arts are holding a community launch of the project on Tuesday, June 1 from 11am at Gunning Train Station.
This launch and tour of the facility will be followed by a community consultation workshop that will include updates on the project planning, a presentation about the visioning of the project, and discussions on use of the station building. There will also be an architect facilitated discussion about the final stage 2 design of the facility.

"The building is a beautiful heritage structure and the spaces being restored at the station will be suitable for a variety of community and cultural events," she said.
"Southern Tablelands Arts is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with local community groups to develop a meaningful arts and cultural program for the space.
"The launch day is an opportunity for local community groups and organisations to view the space and hear from representatives of STA and Sydney Trains."
