Live Traffic NSW reported that all lanes of Braidwood Road have re-opened following this morning's truck rollover.
Update 10.30am
Goulburn Mulwaree Council has advised that one lane of Braidwood Road has re-opened following an earlier truck accident.
Contra traffic flow is in place.
Update Tuesday 9am
Braidwood Road was expected to be re-opened in several hours following a truck salvage operation.
Emergency services were called to the scene, some 18km southeast of Goulburn at 5.45am.
Police said the driver of a southbound semi-trailer carrying soil lost control, some 18km from Goulburn. It skidded, hit a guardrail and rolled, spilling two trailer-loads of soil on the road.
There was heavy fog at the time and police said speed was not a factor.
The male driver, believed to be aged in his 30s, sustained minor injuries and was taken by road ambulance to Goulburn Base Hospital.
Divall's Bulk Haulage assisted with the salvage operation, although it was not their vehicle involved. The road remained closed at 9.30am.
Queanbeyan Palerang Shire and Goulburn Mulwaree Council workers diverted southbound traffic along Currawang Road. In the north, trucks were diverted along the Kings Highway, while vehicles were sent along Covan Creek Road, near Lake Bathurst, to connect with Collector Road.
Police said vehicles were backed up for some distance in both directions immediately after the crash.
A council spokesman said Transport for NSW was assessing the road and would make a decision on its re-opening.
