On Saturday morning, three local riders participated in a 16km criterium in the Zwift Crit City Race. Ian Wardale finished fourth in C Grade with Joe Chalker 20th. In D Grade, Chris Berry finished eighth.

Saturday afternoon racing was a 75-lap race on the velodrome at Seiffert Oval. It was fast and tight for most of the race until the bunch left Chris Berry out on his own for the final five laps. With 300m to go, the peloton opened up the after burners and surged past the solo leader with Jeremy Gilchrist taking out the win from Ian Wardale and Gavin Moroney.

No local racing next Saturday, June 5, but on Sunday, June 6, the Illawarra Cycle Club is hosting the 94km Ken Dinnerville Handicap on the Old Hume Highway between Gunning and Breadalbane.
This race starts at the Gunning end of the course and riders complete two laps. Sign on is from 8.30am and the first bunch is away at 10am.
