There was no road racing this weekend due to roadworks on Mountain Ash Road, so local club riders turned to virtual racing and the track.
On Saturday morning, three local riders participated in a 16km criterium in the Zwift Crit City Race. Ian Wardale finished fourth in C Grade with Joe Chalker 20th. In D Grade, Chris Berry finished eighth.
Saturday afternoon racing was a 75-lap race on the velodrome at Seiffert Oval. It was fast and tight for most of the race until the bunch left Chris Berry out on his own for the final five laps. With 300m to go, the peloton opened up the after burners and surged past the solo leader with Jeremy Gilchrist taking out the win from Ian Wardale and Gavin Moroney.
The full results were as follows:
- Jeremy Gilchrist
- Ian Wardale
- Gavin Moroney
- Wayne Bensley
- Joe Chalker
- Chris Berry
- Peter Lucas
