The fifth round of the STFA All Age Men's competition was played on Saturday, the feature match of which was undoubtedly the clash between the Goulburn Strikers and Wollondilly Soldiers Green.
The Soldiers proved worthy challengers to the competition leaders, scoring two goals against a side which had conceded none in the previous four rounds, but they fell agonisingly short of victory as the Strikers slotted three.

There were, however, several highlights from the three other matches on the day.
These include Crookwell's dominant 6-1 win over Stags FC, and the Goulburn Workers' goal-fest against Stags 97, resulting in a 10-3 win for the former.

The win extends the Strikers' lead at the top of the ladder, while Soldiers Green tumble to fourth and both Workers FC (second) and Crookwell (third) continue their ascent.
