The event will include morning tea and lunch and be hosted by SWW member Virginia King at her modern eco friendly homestead Asiden Springs, five kilometres from Crookwell.
The discussion, Digging the Dirt, will focus on using slander and crime in your writing.
The Society's regional coordinator Ann Beaumont says SWW is keen to involve regional women writers as they can often feel isolated if they cannot access events in the city. Connecting with others in a social context can be a great support and create new networks.
Ms Beaumont says SWW is the oldest women's literary organisation in Australia. It was founded by such well known writers as Mary Gilmore who banded together with other female journalists in 1925 to form an organisation that supported and encouraged women writers. At the time, it was difficult for women to have their work published, often writing under a male name to achieve publication.
Since then, the Society has flourished and its membership not only includes published authors but women just starting out on their journey as a wordsmith.

"While there are monthly meetings and talks at the Mitchell Library in Sydney, we are keen to bring more activities to country areas," said Ms Beaumont.
"During COVID, many of our workshops and talks were via zoom, and, if there is enough interest, we will continue this so country members can join in.
"We want to encourage writers to be involved in local writers' groups and meeting people at SWW functions is often the catalyst for new opportunities and connections.

"As well as our regular Sydney events, in the last year we have also had successful functions at Avoca and Berrima in the Southern Highlands as part of our outreach program. We now have the opportunity to welcome Goulburn and Crookwell writers to our Crookwell lunch. So far writers from the South Coast, the Southern Highlands and Canberra will be coming. Numbers are limited so if you wish to attend, please contact Ann Beaumont as soon as possible.
Cost of the lunch is $40 for SWW members and $45 for visitors. Ann can be contacted abeaumont6@bigpond.com to book and arrange payment.
