Member for Hume Angus Taylor was instrumental in the initiative, giving the organisation a $3,665 federal government grant.
Choosing to help out the Men's Shed through the Stronger Communities Programme was a no brainer for Mr Taylor.
"We all know about the important role they play in our local community and they're always willing to lend a hand with local fundraisers and community events, so it's fantastic to be able to support them in return," Mr Taylor said.
Mr Taylor chose the Men's Shed as one of 14 community groups to receive funding due to their service to the community.
"They do an amazing job and the work they do for the underprivileged is extraordinary.
"Based on the proposals I received, I chose to give some funds to this group as they are a very strong men's shed.
"They have served the community over a long period of time."
Goulburn Men's Shed president Ian Marsh was extremely grateful for the funding.
"We want to thank Angus for considering us," Mr Marsh said.
"The greenhouse is there for the benefits of members.
"All vegetables in there will be edible and people can help themselves."
The 365cm by 365cm greenhouse will be situated behind the main Men's Shed building.
Other community groups that received funding included the Tarago Men's Shed, the Collector Memorial Hall and the Hume Conservatorium of Music.
They will use the funding for new barbecue facilities, the painting of the inside of Collector Hall and the installation of air conditioning respectively.
