A man was transported to Goulburn Base Hospital on Sunday night after sustaining injury in a car crash.
Police, ambulance and NSW Fire and Rescue were called to Mountain Ash Road at 9.30pm to reports a vehicle had crashed into a telegraph pole.
Inspector Matt Hinton said the 30-year-old male, driving south in a Ford Falcon lost control and struck the pole but was able to free himself from the car. He walked a short distance where passersby discovered him and rendered assistance.
Paramedics treated him for lacerations to the right side of his head and left foot. He was conveyed to Goulburn Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Inspector Hinton said the section of road was unsealed. The council is undertaking rehabilitation on the thoroughfare, which connects Goulburn and Bungonia.
"Police implore motorists to drive to conditions and if lower speed limits apply to roadworks, people need to comply with those for their own safety and that of others," he said.
