The Big W store is the top choice and it has received the maximum number of votes.
A poll conducted by the Goulburn Post had asked the residents about the choice of the store they would like to see open in the city.
A total of 439 respondents completed the poll, out of which 43 per cent are keen to see a Big W store open here.
In the 'other options', which took the second spot with 17 per cent of votes, locals mentioned stores like Artist Collective, JB HiFi, an escape room for youths and Chemist Warehouse they would like to see open in the city.
Goulburn Post had shared store preferences of Officeworks, Spotlight and Harris Scarfe as well which received 15 per cent, 13 per cent and nearly 11 per cent of votes respectively.
There are several empty shops on the main street and locals have shared their choices of stores they would like to see in the city.
The recent closure of several stores including Rockmans and Strandbags had left Goulburn residents disappointed.
The closure of these stores has started a conversation and locals look forward to a number of stores like Big W, Harris Scarfe and Spotlight opening in the city.
