Darrell Weekes, president of the Goulburn Chamber of Commerce, had called it one of the major projects to be held prior to the cancellation.
"The event will now be held next year," he added.
Through the expo, the chamber wanted to project Goulburn as a good hub for businesses.
The event was going to be held in the city after a long time and aimed at supporting local businesses by giving them an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Just like the business expo, several others events in the city had to be cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic.
Earlier, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery had cancelled the opening night for Dean Cross 'Icarus, my Son' on July 2 due to similar reasons.
The Goulburn Mulwaree Library decided to postpone the session on Successful Job Applications that was due to be held on July 14 and re-starting the Friday Yarn and Tea Time sessions, which was to begin on July 2.
Similarly, the Hume Citizens Climate Lobby postponed the talk by Professor Mark Howden on July 1 as well.
Meanwhile, the Starlight Foundation fundraiser cancelled their social dance afternoon on June 27 at the Railway Bowling Club and Marulan markets were also cancelled on June 27.
