With a passion for contemporary art, Ms Mobayed moved to Goulburn from Sydney to join the gallery in 2017.
Prior to joining the gallery, she had been working in the arts and cultural sector for over a decade and had gained extensive experience through her work in the commercial gallery, institutional and not-for-profit sectors and for the Australian Government initiative Artbank.
Her experience and tenure at the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery has been instrumental in building the gallery to all that it has achieved today.

"I am working on a solo exhibition titled 'Icarus, my Son' at the moment with transdisciplinary artist Dean Cross. He is one of the leading artists in Australia and the show will be iterated at Carriageworks," she said.
"It's a groundbreaking partnership as it is unusual for city venues to be taking content from the region. It's usually the other way around. I think it is a perfect example of what we have built here."
Before taking up the role of the director at the gallery, Ms Mobayed was impressed with the gallery's outreach program. Her aim has always been to align the functions of the gallery and make them more accessible to everyone.
"The gallery is not merely a place that commissions content that is of best quality and merit but also offers outreach programs for the remote communities in and around Goulburn," she said.
Ms Mobayed has a passion for contemporary art and wanted to show Goulburn the best works of Australian contemporary artists. She feels that there is limitless potential for the city to be known for something that is positive and regenerative.
In her farewell note, she adds, "We have become a home for ideas, for artists and for our community. We are a safe place for tough conversations, and contemporary art is how we have them. It is our language, how we communicate, debate and grow.
"I have always believed, and now more than ever, that art and artists connect us to one another. Artists show us the way to be kinder and encourage us to be inquisitive, less knowing, more elastic of mind."
Her last day at the gallery as a director is July 30 and she wishes the best to the person who will replace her in the role.
