The announcement was the latest among several updates from the GDHA, and came less than 24 hours after the association called off last weekend's local matches.
"We will be certain to update our members immediately as soon as further information comes to hand, however feel that this is the best course of action with the amount of information that is filtering through," the association said in its Thursday Facebook post.
"Whilst this isn't ideal, we need to be sure to keep everyone safe, and if that is to act as a circuit breaker at this point, then so be it.
"Please stay safe everyone and please support our decision in these very trying times."
GDHA rep secretary, Sharney Fleming, confirmed that the complex would remain closed and the local competition will halt until the NSW lockdown has ended.
With only one round left of the regular competition, the association hopes to be able to progress with its finals if the state opens up again in the next week or two.
But, as an extension of the lockdown seems likely, Fleming said the GDHA will end its competitions if necessary.
"We're hoping that if it does open up we can go straight into our semis," Fleming said. "If it doesn't, though, we won't be disadvantaged financially."
The ACT government confirmed yesterday that it would extend the lockdown by two weeks, which throws into doubt the future of the Capital League competitions in which the Goulburn senior men's and women's teams compete.
Hockey ACT CEO, Rob Sheekey, confirmed that the best case scenario was to continue the competition, which is near its end, if the lockdown finishes on September 2 as scheduled.
However, Sheekey also acknowledged the evolving and unpredictable nature of the pandemic meant that any attempts at concrete plans would likely be futile.

"We certainly feel it's important to try and finish our season if we can," Sheekey said.
"People have invested 18 weeks in the season, we're very close to the end of it. So the good news is, we don't need a lot of time to finish it, however of course we won't do that unless it's in line with ACT Health guidelines and NSW Health guidelines, with about a seventh of our membership being NSW residents.
"However, a fortnight in this current climate is a long time so we're unable to commit to anything at this stage."
