It was originally planned to open at the start of September, but Goulburn Mulwaree Council now expects this to be delayed at least a fortnight.
As the community are aware, we are currently undertaking a $30 million redevelopment of the centre.
Prior to opening the outdoor pool some elements of this work need to be completed, such as the northern car park which has been delayed due to a number of reasons including COVID-19 restrictions.
It is a council priority to get the outdoor pool open for use as soon as possible, and we will inform the community when we have a firm date however at this stage are targeting mid-September.
The redevelopment of the Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre is on track for completion and commissioning in the early months of next year and is expected to open to the public sometime in February.
