That was certainly the calm before the storm this week in Goulburn and Crookwell.
The bad weather that has followed has meant the following roads in the Upper Lachlan Shire have been closed:
- Tyrl Tyrl Rd is closed at the Bolong River causeway due to being a metre underwater
- Backarm Rd is closed at the Tarlo River causeway due to being a metre underwater
- Golspie Road at Reedy Creek, just off Peelwood Rd
The Goulburn Post has outlined this week's weather:
The Bureau of Metereology (BOM) recorded about 32 millimetres of rain dropped at the Goulburn Weather Station.
That was the most rain predicted in a single day this week.
Get the extra blankets out of the cupboard because temperatures are expected to drop to zero on August 25 in Goulburn with a maximum of 11°C.
Grab the extra layers and your camera in Crookwell - it has been predicted to hit -2°C on August 25, with a chance of snow.

Southwesterly winds of 20 to 30 km/h have been expected on August 25 in Goulburn with a 50 per cent of showers up to three millimetres.
The BOM also mentioned that there was the possibility for snow on Thursday (August 26) and Friday (August 27) in Crookwell.
Temperatures have been expected to drop a freezing -1°C in Goulburn and -3°C in Crookwell on Thursday (August 26).
There was also a 50 per cent chance of light showers in Goulburn on Friday (August 27).
A minimum of 0°C and a maximum of 12°C were also predicted for August 27.
Temperatures below zero have been for August 27 and 28 in Crookwell with minimums of -1°C.
There was the chance that the temperature would rise to 1°C in Crookwell on Sunday (August 29) with a 30 per cent of up to three millimetres.
Southwesterly and northwesterly winds 15 to 20 km/h have been predicted for Goulburn over the weekend, with a maximum temperature of 16°C on both days.
