A man was fortunate to survive a truck crash on the Federal Highway on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called at 5.30am to reports that a light rigid truck had overturned on the Federal Highway, near Taradale Rd at Collector.
Police said the southbound vehicle lost control and overturned beside the road. One highway lane was closed to allow emergency services to treat the man and salvage the truck. The nature of its load is unknown.

Paramedics treated the man for non-life threatening neck injuries and he was conveyed by road ambulance to Canberra Hospital.
Police said while the cause was under investigation, fatigue was thought to be a factor.
The highway was fully re-opened at 8.30am.
