Grant applications will close Friday, October 22, 2021 and all successful heritage fund projects must be completed by Friday, April 29, 2022. For every $1 spent by the applicant, council will supplement that amount with $1, up to the maximum grant amount, however successful applicants may provide their own additional funding to the project.
Funding cannot be provided if the specific project for which the funding has been applied for commenced prior to the grant funding approval being given.
Proposed projects should be discussed with council's heritage advisor prior to submission of the application to ensure the proposal meets these guidelines and is appropriate for heritage conservation or restoration of the building or place.
With the support of NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Heritage Council of NSW, Upper Lachlan Shire Council's Local Heritage Places Grant Program proposes one grant of $4,000 and $7,000 each.
Depending on the quality and number of applications, it is at council's discretion to offer differing amounts or differing number of grants.
Further information can be found on Council's website under Local Heritage Places Guidelines 2021-2022 and Local Heritage Places Grant Application Form 2021-2022. The guideline provides prospective applicants information about the scope, eligibility, requirements and selection criteria.
