You can fill your diary with different activities this week in Goulburn. From swimming, to public art installations to musical tunes from around the globe, there is never a dull moment.
Have a swim at Goulburn Aquatic & Leisure Centre
Now that the weather is heating up, residents in the Goulburn Mulwaree Council LGA can enjoy an outdoor swim at the aquatic centre.
Attendees must wear masks when they are not in the water, social distance and must check in with the QR codes. Normal pool rules also apply such as supervision for swimmers under the age of 12. A strict get in and get out policy is also in place.
The Public Art Walk
Did you know that there is a trail of murals and sculptures waiting to be discovered in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA? The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery has commissioned over 35 artworks for its public arts program, and you can make an adventure out of it with the gallery's map! The map can be found here.
Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics with the Goulburn Regional Gallery's Earthbound exhibition. The exhibition features the work of six contemporary artists that show the endless possibilities with ceramics, and the intricate details that can be captured on them.
The video tour of this exhibition can be found on the Goulburn Regional Gallery's IGTV page.
Q and A with Katrina Leske
Learn more about one of the six ceramic artists who are featuring in the 'Earthbound' exhibition. Katrina is a Canberra-based ceramics artist and potter who loves to create unique and irregular ceramics that explore opposites in human interaction, such as nature and culture.
The session will be held on the gallery's IGTV page and questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday Folk Sessions
Sing along and strum away to Celtic, American and Australian tunes with the Goulburn Club every Sunday. Lyrics, notations and chords are available here so you can follow and play along. Song collections are also updated regularly each week.
You can also go onto the Goulburn Club's events page on Facebook to watch previous sessions.
Build your own village full of tiny houses
This is your last chance to create a village full of tiny ceramic houses at home with Elph Ceramics. The business will send you the tools and materials for the job! Do not worry - you will get air-dry clay, so you won't need a kiln.
Orders for this class are ready to be shipped by Wednesday, October 6, and kits are $85 each. Kits can be purchased here.
