On Friday, October 15 the Southern Tablelands Group of CWA of NSW held their AGM via Zoom.
Our guest speaker was the Hon Wendy Tuckerman, Member for Goulburn and special visitors and scrutineers were Jennifer Blinkhorn and Julie Morris from Wollondilly Group who also joined us via Zoom.
A huge 'thank you' to our guest speaker, special visitors and all outgoing executive members for a job well done.
All your hard work is very much appreciated.
All executive positions were filled with Karen Pavey (Goulburn Evening Branch) being elected as group president and state executive committee member and Jude Nettleingham (Bungendore) as group secretary.
Congratulations everyone!
The CWA is the largest women's organisation in Australia and aims to improve conditions for women, children and families.
We reach that aim in various ways including lobbying for change, helping the local community, creating a network of support and meeting together in towns and cities.
The Southern Tablelands Group is made up of some 15 branches in the region, namely Braidwood, Bungendore, Collector, Crookwell, Goulburn, Majors Creek, Marulan, Mulwaree, Queanbeyan, Tarago, Taralga and Yass.
Some of these areas have a day and an evening branch.
New members are always welcome at the branch meetings.
