A man has been jailed for withholding information from police, after a woman was stabbed over a $7000 drug debt.

Jarred Aaron Fitton, 22, of Goulburn, pleaded guilty to concealing a serious indictable offence in relation to a stabbing in 2020. He appeared via audio visual link at Goulburn Local Court on October 27.

On August 2, 2020 co-offenders Rhiannon Sarah Campbell and Sharni North went to the victim's Goulburn flat with Fitton. She agreed to go to Gary Campbell's residence on Yarralow Street to discuss the debt.
Upon arrival the victim went into a bedroom with North, Gary and Rhiannon Campbell. Fitton was in another part of the house.
Police allege they argued about the debt before North approached the victim and stabbed her in the left thigh with an 8cm long yellow kitchen knife.
The victim sat on the bed "in pain" and cried as the wound bled onto the white bed covers.
North allegedly further assaulted the victim before Fitton drove her home.
The victim then went to Goulburn Base Hospital, requiring five stitches.
Court documents state that in an interview with police Fitton denied knowing the co-accused, admitted he knew the victim but denied any knowledge of or involvement in the stabbing.
Solicitor Sam Rowland spoke in defence of his client. He said there was "no suggestion [Fitton] was involved in the [stabbing]".
Mr Rowland told the court this was Fitton's first time in jail. He said Fitton had served eight months on remand after breaching bail.
He said Fitton was "somewhat reluctant to talk about his time in custody" and had been allegedly assaulted "several times" by other inmates.
Mr Rowland told the court "jail politics were difficult for him to negotiate".
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie took Fitton's young age and early guilty plea into account.
She said Fitton had withheld "information that would assist police in their investigation".
"While not directly involved, you were with [the offenders], were at the location and afterwards drove the victim near to home," she said.
Fitton was jailed for 12 months with an eight-month non-parole period. He was eligible for release on Wednesday.
He also received a nine-month community corrections order for possession of a knife while out on bail.
