The third round of the summer season took place at Wakefield Park on Wednesday night for the Graded Scratch Race, and this week riders rode clockwise.

Ideal conditions for fast racing greeted the riders at the start line with temperatures in the low 20s, a light breeze and overcast conditions.

Cameron Roberts took out A Grade riding solo ahead of a large bunch of B Grade riders.
A large field contested B Grade with little separating the riders throughout the race. In a tight finish Andrew Stewart took line honours followed by Robbie Dorsett and Jordan Rowlands.
Mark Stutchbury proved too strong in C Grade but all the excitement was between Chris Berry and Rhys Cranston for the minor places. Chris lead out of the final turn but Rhys closely followed the wheel and timed his sprint perfectly to finish in second place.
Next Wednesday, November 10, is criterium racing on the short course at Wakefield Park. Sign on is from 5.45pm with racing at 6.15pm. New riders are welcome.
