One of the playwrights is Goulburn West Public School's Mikaela Harris who had a blast with writing her play called Farm Frenzy.
"I really enjoyed it as it was really fun," the 11-year-old said.
"At the start, it was nerve-wracking, but it got better."
All the plays are eight to 10 pages long and completed in about six weeks.
They meet with a mentor every week for an hour and a half in the library and in Mikaela's case, she worked with David Cole who spoke very highly of her.
"Working with Mikaela has been a lot of fun," Mr Cole said.
"She has a very active imagination."
Mr Cole said Farm Frenzy, set on a farm, contained plenty of dad jokes.
"Mikaela's grandparents have a farm and she visits there often, so she wanted to write a play about a farm," he said.
"In her play, there are two children who are very spoiled brats who push their parents too far.
"Their parents snap and make them do horrendous chores to earn back their respect.
"There is lots of magic, including a dancing cow and a ghost to keep them on their toes.
"There are also heaps of very corny dad jokes in this play."
The following was Mikaela's favourite joke.
Dad: Now I know how batteries feel? Kids: Why? Dad: Because I'm never included in anything.
Farm Frenzy is just one of seven plays on the Mighty Playwrights program.
