Emergency services were called to the Murrays Flat Road property, some 9km north of the city at 11.20am after a 73-year-old man was found deceased in a paddock.
Police said it appeared the man had been slashing the area when his tractor struck a rock, causing him to fall from the vehicle. The tractor ran over the male and he died from his injuries.

The man had left the house at about 6.30am to start the work and had only slashed two rows when it was thought the accident occurred.
A friend, who had been unable to locate the male, went looking for him and discovered him deceased.
On arrival, police established a crime scene and remained at the property for almost four hours. Police divers were brought in to recover the tractor which had rolled 130 metres down an embankment and was partially submerged in a dam.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
