Christmas has become a whole lot brighter for families and individuals across Goulburn and region thanks to the community's generosity.
Anglicare and Saint Saviour's Cathedral appealed for gifts for the Saint Saviour's Giving Tree earlier this month to distribute to people in need.
Though hoping for 400 gifts, in line with last year's donations, Cathedral Dean Phillip Saunders said more than 650 were received.
"This would be the largest gift donation the Giving Tree has had in its time (10 years) and we are extremely grateful for the response we have received," he said.

Anglicare's Manager of Housing and Social Services Toni Reay said people's generosity never ceased to amaze her.
"As we know these are difficult and uncertain times for everyone, and we have had overwhelming support by the community to bring some much needed care to vulnerable people this Christmas," she said.
"We wish our community all the very best for Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year."
