A combined total of 188 COVID cases have been recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm last night (January 2) in five local government areas (LGAs) in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

Thirty cases have been detected in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA, 45 in the Yass Valley LGA, 109 in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA, four in the Eurobodalla LGA and five in the Upper Lachlan LGA.
The SNSWLHD provided a breakdown of recent cases in all of the local government areas in the district this morning (January 3).
A total of 230 cases have been detected during this period in the health district, with two residents in hospital.

There are currently 1008 active cases across the district.
Up to 8pm last night in the last four weeks, there have been 185 cases in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA, 154 in the Yass Valley LGA, 49 in the Eurobodalla LGA, 421 in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA and 40 in the Upper Lachlan LGA.
More than 95 per cent of residents' in all five local government areas have had their first and second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Today's cases across NSW have increased from 18,278 (January 2) to 20,794, and four deaths have also been recorded.
It was announced that a total of 1204 people were in hospital and 95 in intensive care.
Vaccination rates statewide remain unchanged with 93.6 per cent of the population over the age of 16 being double vaccinated, and 95 per cent only having one vaccine dose.
A total of 81.5 per cent of residents between the ages of 12 and 15 have had one COVID-19 vaccination and 78.2 per cent have had two vaccines.
In the 24 hours to 8pm last night, 96,765 COVID tests were conducted.
