A combined total of 96 COVID cases have been recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm on January 3 in four local government areas (LGAs) in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

Twenty-seven cases have been detected in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA, 16 in the Yass Valley LGA, 46 in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA and seven in the Upper Lachlan LGA.
The Upper Lachlan was the only LGA with an increase in cases since yesterday (January 3).
The SNSWLHD provided a breakdown of recent cases in all of the local government areas in the district this morning (January 4).
A total of 124 cases have been detected during this period in the health district, with two residents in hospital.

Up to 8pm on January 3 in the last four weeks, there have been 212 cases in the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA, 170 in the Yass Valley LGA, 466 in the Queanbeyan Palerang LGA and 46 in the Upper Lachlan LGA.
More than 95 per cent of residents in all four LGAs have had their first and second COVID-19 vaccines.
Monday's cases across NSW have increased from 20,794 (January 3) to 23,131, and two deaths have also been recorded.
It was announced that a total of 1344 people were in hospital and 105 in intensive care.
Vaccination rates statewide remain unchanged with 93.6 per cent of the population over the age of 16 being double vaccinated, and 95 per cent only having one vaccine dose.
A total of 81.4 per cent of residents between the ages of 12 and 15 have had one COVID-19 vaccination and 78.1 per cent have had two doses.
