For the 16th year in a row, VMT funded the not for profit organisation through their donation program, something the Southern NSW Cancer Council community relations coordinator Brooke Manzione was extremely grateful for.
"This year, we received $10,000 to support our Relay For Life events in both Goulburn and Nowra," Ms Manzione said.

"The money is really important for us because, with events like Relay For Life, we want to make sure that we give as much of that back to our cancer patients and their families.
"The costs not only help us to cover the event itself, but also the infrastructure and everything else we need to do in order to raise the money.
"They've been funding us for 16 years and in that time we received over $160,000."
After being unable to hold an official grant presentation mid-year due to lockdown, the Cancer Council was presented with their grant in Goulburn on December 7.
Relay for Life is a community fundraising challenge to raise funds to support people affected by cancer, fund research and improve cancer prevention.
The event was unfortunately cancelled last year due to COVID-19, but will return this year.
The first funding round of 2022 will open on January 24.
