Rejoice in the Lamb
English Sacred Music for Choir and Organ
Join the Canberra Choral Society as they explore a feast of exquisite sacred music, offering a sublime combination of peaceful and rousing music. Come and hear beautiful 19th and 20th century English sacred music for choir and organ, conducted by Dan Walker, with Sam Giddy on the organ. David Penalver Exhibition and Auction
The travelling artist
The late David Penalver travelled Australia and the world sketching scenes that took his fancy. An exhibition of his drawings will be held at The Goulburn Club from April 8 to April 22. The exhibition will be opened on Friday April 8 by Jane Cush. On Sunday April 24, the drawings will be auctioned at The Goulburn Club; viewing will be from 9am to noon and the auction will begin at 2pm. All proceeds from the auction are going towards the installation of a lift at The Goulburn Club. All the lots can be viewed on a TV screen when the Goulburn Club is open.
Windellama Country Market
Local food and crafts
The Easter country market has a growing range of locally sourced and produced food, plants, art, crafts, clothing, jewelry and bric-a-brac. $5 for a fresh ground coffee and a homemade cake. There will also be Easter eggs for the kids! The market will be held on Sunday, April 10 at Windellama Hall from 9am to 1pm.
Marulan Book Exchange
Find a new title
The Marulan Book Exchange is a monthly event run by local volunteers, providing a valuable resource for locals and visitors alike. This is one of the few book exchanges left in New South Wales. Bring your books and grab some new titles! Open Saturday, April 9 at St Stephen's Church in George Street, Marulan.
Australian Super Truck Championship
It's back!
The Australian Super Truck Championship is back! Pack a picnic, bring the kids and enjoy a thrilling weekend of fun for every family member. Expect to see records tumble as the big rigs return to the track at Wakefield Park. Gates open from 8am on April 9 and 10, but make sure you arrive before 9am to catch the first Super Truck race!
Goulburn BookFest
Community Festival
Goulburn BookFest is a two-day community festival that celebrates a love of all things culture, books, reading, and writing. The Festival will be full of author talks, workshops, kids activities, panel discussions, and more. Join in to hear from some celebrated Australian authors and personalities and local writers. BookFest also includes a special literary dinner, with guest speakers and authors in attendance. The Festival begins April 9. Regional produce and artisan goods
Goulburn Rotary Parkside Markets is a regional produce and artisan market for talented makers and producers. A project of the Goulburn Rotary Club, at the markets you will find something for each of your senses: coffee, flowers, food, preserves, plants, candles, jewellery and so much more. All funds raised from the market go to support Rotary charities and projects. The market is held in Montague St, adjacent to Belmore Park on the second Saturday of the month, grab a coffee and have a browse this Saturday, April 9.
Curious Talks and Tea
Australian Heritage Festival
Curious Talks and Tea is hosted as part of the Australian Heritage Festival, running from April 1 to May 31, and is a rare opportunity to attend a talk that focuses on the life of NSW Survey General of 1887-90 Edward Twynam at his former home, Riversdale, Goulburn. Join museum guide, Marie Kennedy, for a deeper look into the life of Edward Twynam. Explore Riversdale's award-winning garden with knowledgeable head gardener, Ros Loftus. Take time to collect your thoughts and reflect on the morning with a scrumptious morning tea of cakes, slices, tea and coffee on the verandah. Tickets are $20. Roller Skating Disco
Youth Week
To celebrate Youth Week, Goulburn Mulwaree Council is putting on a roller skating disco with the help of PCYC, headspace and Rollerfit. Dress up in your favourite retro style and remember to bring a helmet, they must be worn to participate. Skates and other safety gear hire will be available at no cost, but bring your own if you have them. There will be a canteen available and dinner will be provided in session two at no cost. Session one is open to the community, while session two is for young people aged 12 to 24. The disco will take place on Saturday, April 9, session one begins at 3pm and session two at 6pm. Goulburn Performing Arts Centre
The songs of Gordon Lightfoot are like old friends to millions of his followers. Songs such as 'If you Could Read my Mind', 'The Wreck Of the Edmund Fitzgerald', 'Rainy Day People' and 'Sundown' are some of the memorable songs performed by the The Lightfeet Band. These three musicians Keith Potger, Fred Piltcher and Gary Luck, decided to get together and bring Gordon Lightfoot's "old friends" to fans and newcomers in SUNDOWN, the concert that celebrates the talents of this legendary singer/song writer.
